I’m running for the Tolleson Union High School District Governing Board because I believe every student deserves adults in their corner who will put their future ahead of politics. As a coach, I work directly with young people and see every day what happens when students are challenged, supported, and given someone who believes in them. I’m also a first-generation college graduate from Harvard, and I know firsthand how much access to a great education can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. I’m running to bring that perspective to the board: to listen, to show up, and to make decisions based on one simple question: What is best for our students?
As I connect with neighbors throughout our community, one of my highest priorities is ensuring our schools are safe and welcoming for every single student. I believe that every child deserves a learning environment where they feel secure, valued, and supported from the moment they arrive. When our children feel safe, they can truly focus on learning, growing, and reaching their full potential. If elected, I will dedicate my efforts to increasing school safety and fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere in our classrooms. Our schools are the heart of our community, and keeping our students safe is a responsibility we all share. Together, we can make sure our schools are places where every student can thrive.
I believe in our students, and as your next board member, I am committed to increasing academic achievement across our community. To do this, we have to start early. That is why I will focus on building strong, active partnerships with our local feeder elementary schools. By working hand-in-hand with these foundational schools, we can ensure every child has the support, resources, and preparation they need to succeed from day one. When we invest in our youngest learners and bridge the gap between our schools, we lift up our entire community. I am ready to do this work, and I ask for your support to help all of our students reach their full potential.
